Vitalik Buterin is a Russian-Canadian programmer and author best known in crypto community for creating Ethereum, dubbed “the world’s hottest new cryptocurrency.” As well as co-founder of Bitcoin, Vitalik’s work is impressive, but so is string theory, digital currencies, black holes, game theory, quantum physics, and other related fields. Vitalik was born on January 31st 1994, his father Dmitry Buterin and his mom Natalia Ameline.
There is a lot of curiosity about the 23-year-old creator; some stories even claim Vitalik Buterin’s IQ is 257, which makes people wonder about the 23-year-old genius. The cryptocurrency community has tried to exaggerate Vitalik Buterin’s IQ to give credibility to the cryptocurrency organization.
Vitalik Buterin’s nicknames include “Prodigy” and “Young Genius.” Unlike his contemporaries, who like to play cars or ball, Buterin reveals that one of his favorite childhood activities was Microsoft Excel and that alone is “screaming” Vitalik Buterin IQ is very high! He can also eat a whole lemon without peeling it and, according to many, he showed much interest and learned to speak perfect Mandarin (Chinese) in a few months.
Intelligence and creativity: Vitalik Buterin IQ
Vitalik was born in Kolomna, Moscow Oblast, Russia, on January 31, 1994. He was born in Russia and grew up there until he was six, when his parents decided to come to Canada for better job opportunities.
While in third grade at a Canadian elementary school, he was admitted to a gifted program. While in the program, Vitalik quickly recognized that his unique abilities and talents made him stand out among his peers and teachers.
He had a natural predisposition for math and programming, possessed an early and strong interest in economics, and could add up three-digit numbers in his head twice as fast as the average person his age.
Buterin avoided social gatherings and extracurricular activities. Many people, he recalls, talked about him as if he were a math prodigy. Subsequently, he attended the Abelard School, a private high school in Toronto, for four years.
The school radically changed his attitude toward schooling and his performance. At Abelard, he acquired his particular zeal for study, making knowledge his main goal in life.
Apart from his studies he enjoyed playing World of Warcraft (WoW) from 2007 to 2010. On the other hand, Blizzard cried to sleep that night when he decided to remove the damage component of his favorite warlock’s Siphon Life talent. Vitalik learned the dangers of centralized services and left World of Warcraft.
Vitalik discovered Bitcoin in 2011 while looking for a new direction in life. At first, he was skeptical and couldn’t see how it could be valuable without any tangible basis. However, as time went on, he learned more and became interested.
He wanted to formally join this new and experimental economy by getting some tokens but needed more processing power to create them or the funds to buy Bitcoin. So he looked for a Bitcoin job on numerous sites and eventually started writing articles for a blog, earning about five Bitcoin on each post.
Research and Roots of Ethereum
At the same time he researched the many economic, technological, and political elements of cryptocurrencies. His essays piqued the interest of Mihai Alisie, a Bitcoin enthusiast from Romania, who went on to co-found Bitcoin Magazine in late 2011. He was writing, traveling, and working on cryptocurrency for more than 30 hours a day, so he decided to drop out of university.
He traveled the world looking at various crypto initiatives and eventually concluded that they needed to be more focused on specific applications and broad enough.
After inspecting the protocols used by these projects, Vitalik discovered that it was possible to extend significantly what the protocols did by replacing all their functionality with a Turing-complete programming language.
A Turing-complete programming language in computer science allows a machine to solve any question given the correct method and sufficient time and memory. After being rejected by existing initiatives, he opted to do it himself, giving rise to Ethereum.
Vitalik Buterin explained his idea in a white paper in late 2013
He distributed it to a handful of his acquaintances, who spread it further. As a result, about 30 people contacted Vitalik to discuss the proposal. Initially, the Ethereum concept focused on digital cash.
The concept expanded over time, and by the end of January 2014, the team realized that it was relatively simple to build decentralized file storage and that it could implement ideas such as name registration with just a few lines of code.
The core team of Vitalik Buterin, Mihai Alise, Anthony Di Iorio, Charles Hoskinson, Joe Lubin, and Gavin Wood went public in January 2014. Buterin also spoke on stage at a Bitcoin convention in Miami.
A few months later, the team decided to fund development through an initial coin offering (ICO) of Ether, the native token of the Ethereum network. At the same time, Vitalik received a $100,000 Thiel grant.
The team raised around 31,000 BTC through the sale of ETH, which amounted to approximately $18 million. The Ethereum team founded the Ethereum Foundation, a non-profit organization in Switzerland, to oversee the development of Ethereum’s open-source software. Despite some difficulties, Ethereum’s crowdfunding effort was a success.
Ethereum in general
Ethereum’s architecture aims to follow numerous principles, such as simplicity, universality, modularity, agility, non-discrimination, and non-censorship.
The Ethereum network is constantly being updated to improve its underlying design, such as the London and Berlin upgrades and the upcoming Shanghai hard fork. These upgrades combine many network improvements to continue Ethereum’s natural growth towards Ethereum 2.0 (Eth2), also known as Serenity.
Vitalik Buterin IQ 257: The man who co-created Ethereum
He is best known as the creator of Ethereum, a blockchain platform that functions as a global computer for decentralized applications, or DApps.
Buterin spent six months in 2013 traveling the world to meet with Bitcoin (BTC) developers. He realized that he could create a new, perhaps more significant, version by iterating over the Bitcoin blockchain.
To demonstrate this concept, he connected Bitcoin to a calculator and a future blockchain to a smartphone, using the same notion of increasing the system’s power by making it more general to blockchain networks. Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency, and Ether (ETH) is a digital currency built on the Ethereum blockchain network.
Buterin co-founded Ethereum, a blockchain that enables a variety of tasks, including developing applications and programs that use the power of cryptocurrencies such as Ether. The platform does this through smart contracts, which are programs that can be stored and executed on the Ethereum network.
Ethereum 2.0 is expected to significantly improve the current ecosystem regarding cost, performance, functionality, and miner issues. Vitalik saw that the current version of Ethereum had become a victim of its success, with demand pushing network fees to new highs, making most transactions too expensive for the average user.
In addition, Ethereum is more of a utility platform, similar to Apple’s app ecosystem, because many other products are being built on the Ethereum environment.
Compared to the previous proof-of-work paradigm, proof-of-stake enables faster transactions with lower costs. The proof-of-stake technique allows Ethereum investors to “stake” their assets in “betting pools” to collect rewards and gradually increase their stakes.
Facebook’s metaverse ‘will fail’
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin doesn’t think any of the current attempts by companies to create a metaverse “will go anywhere” and points to Meta as one of those he believes “will fail.”
Responding to a tweet from Dialectic co founder Dean Eigenmann, who believes venture capitalists may be wrong about what constitutes an ideal metaverse, Buterin said that while he believes “the metaverse will come,” he doesn’t think any of the current attempts by companies like Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta “will go anywhere.”
Vitalik Buterin Girlfriend and Dating Life
Vitalik Buterin is still a young man, he is not married, and it has yet to be revealed whether or not he is currently dating anyone. He first heard about Bitcoin from his father, but he has yet to invest in it. The same year, he co-founded a new online publication (Bitcoin Magazine). Bitcoin Magazine is one of the most popular online sources for bitcoin news. Until 2014, he was the co-founder.
Buterin had an idea for a new Turing complete blockchain while working with Bitcoin in 2013. He proceeded to write the whitepaper and named the new blockchain Ethereum. It received positive peer reviews.
